Welcome to CatNote (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App provides an annual view, date browsing, local diary recording, and iOS home-screen widgets. Some viewing features are available free of charge. Creating, editing, and saving diary records, and using the full widget functionality, require purchase of the “CatNote Permanent Edition.” Available features are those shown in the current version of the App.
The “CatNote Permanent Edition” is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase offered through Apple App Store. Its current product identifier is com.catnote.vip. After a successful purchase, eligible purchases may be restored under Apple’s rules for the same Apple Account.
Price, taxes, billing, refunds, payment disputes, and purchase records are governed by Apple and the App Store. Check the price and purchase disclosure shown by the App Store before confirming a purchase. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, the developer does not directly process refunds.
“Permanent” means a continuing right to use the permanent-edition features currently made available in the App. It does not promise every future feature, compatibility with every future operating-system version, or uninterrupted availability under all circumstances. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You are responsible for the diary content you enter, store, or display in the App. Your content must be lawful and must not infringe another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, or other lawful rights. Do not use the App for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or disruptive activity.
The current version stores diary content locally on your device and does not provide cloud sync or backup controlled by the developer. You are responsible for backing up important content. To the extent permitted by law, we have no obligation to restore data lost because of device loss or damage, system reset, App deletion, data deletion, or other causes not resulting from our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
The App’s software, interface, cat artwork, name, marks, and other content are protected by applicable law. Unless permitted by law or with our written permission, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, rent, sell, distribute, or otherwise improperly use the App or its content.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features for security, compatibility, legal, or product-improvement reasons. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material adverse changes. You may stop using the App and delete local data at any time.
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the App will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device and operating-system version. This section does not exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise. The parties will first try to resolve disputes amicably. If no resolution is reached, either party may bring a claim before a court with jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms and post the revised version on this page or in the App. Revised Terms apply from the effective date shown above. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
